This was a nice AUD recording from the Wall of Sound era.
It has good guitar and vocals but drums are low. Did what I could with EQ but you can't put back what isn't there... A light Continuous Noise filter was used to minimize tape hiss.

Other specific issues corrected:

-- The crossfaded tape flip in Eyes was removed and patched with the SBD that was adjusted to match up. Wish folks would't crossfade cuts, makes it harder to patch!
-- Mix was bad on Promised Land on both SBD and AUD - couldn't fix that!
-- I used an upward compressor as a form of limiter to decrease the audience applause at the end of some tracks without losing anything.
-- A lot of loud handclaps, and other anomalies were corrected.

All editing done with Diamond Cut DC6 software.

To burn to longer media (DVD-A), leave out "a" and "b" fade tracks. Please trade freely, never sell. Please don't convert to MP3 and trade... Thanks, Wiz

Had to weigh in on this show. Simply amazing. It's been over thirty years since I flew down to Miami to catch the dead at the only small venue they played with the exception of Winterland. The China-Rider was one of those China/Riders where you felt as though you were like Jodie Foster in Contact, traveling to the center of the galaxy. Thinking about this show still gives me goose bumps.

I disagree with most of the comments about this being "unreal". It's kind of a flat performance to me. They sound bored.

hello, I've been listening to the dead for 20 years (im 34) and the older I get the more I love them - just makes me cry hearing this set it is so wonderful.
thankyou all so much for recording these shows and posting them here, it's amazing to hear all this pure gold sound from the greatest band in the world.

I was going to write an eloquent teview but I just listened to China Cat Sunflower and all I can say now is... Wow... Wow.

Ok, I've recovered enough to say: this is some of the most flowing, creative and just plain beautiful playing I've ever heard. Oh, and the rest of this show is great, too. For those who like Wharf Rat, like me, this one's special!
Great sound, too. Well done, Wiz. OK, so the drums are a little low but, boy, do those guitars sound good.
